Aquatec 7655 - High emulsion stability with low maintenance requirements

A water-miscible product, AquaTec 7655 is suitable for general to heavy-duty machining of steels, plastics, and aluminium alloys, is TRGS 611 compliant, formaldehyde free, and guarantees a long tool life, good corrosion protection and a particularly good workpiece surface finish.

AquaTec 7655 has been specifically developed to offer high emulsion stability while requiring little maintenance, even in high production environments. The excellent results achieved in oelheld GmbH’s dedicated Machining Technology Centre during the development phase have since been reported by many customers, confirming AquaTec 7655 as the ideal choice for metalworkers operating at a high capacity and looking to reduce maintenance costs.

The mineral oil base and EP additive package have been carefully formulated to overcome many of the problems typically associated with water based products, including corrosion (machines and parts), lubricity (tool life) and sump life (fungi, bacteria). AquaTec 7655 breaks new ground in addressing these challenges that offers a level of stability that can present an enormous competitive advantage for our customers working a high capacities.

Remember, it is important to maintain the correct concentration levels of water based coolants and getting it right can lead to improved system performance. For example, one oelheld customer turning V4A steel was able to increase the number of parts machined with one insert from 11 to 25 just by changing concentration levels. The same customer was also able to completely remove the need for additional manual greasing of parts within their heaviest machining processes, thanks to a tailored coolant concentration.

A hand refractometer is the best way to check concentration levels which should be done on a regular basis to avoid problems - check the datasheet for your coolant to be sure of the correct amount and mixing procedure, and contact the manufacturer to see if it can be tailored to improve the productivity of your processes.
