Gas To Liquid Technology with SintoGrind TC-X 630

What is a Gas-to-Liquid Base Oil?

Gas to Liquid (GtL) base oils are synthesized from gas, rather than produced using crude oils. Natural gas is converted into a synthesized gas by the addition of steam and oxygen. A chemical reaction, called the Fisher-Tropsch process, is then performed which converts the combined gas into a liquid hydrocarbon, forming the GtL base oils, often referred to as Group III+ oils.

The benefits of Gas-to-Liquid

Natural gas is the cleanest burning fossil fuel, making a GtL based product a more environmentally friendly option than a crude oil base. GTL base oils are colorless and odorless and contain almost none of the impurities found in crude oil, such as sulfur, aromatics and nitrogen. GtL base oils rank qualitatively between hydrocracking oils and polyalphaolefins so offer an additional price and quality point for customers.

Gas-to-Liquid from oelheld UK - SintoGrind TCX 630

Based on the latest technology, our SintoGrind TC-X 630 is at the forefront of the GtL market, setting the standard within its performance and price class. It has been specifically formulated for demanding grinding tasks and delivers exceptional feed and speed rates with superior surface finish. Its lubricity lends to extended wheel life and minimal heat build-up, which in turn eliminates surface cracks and burns. It contains no hazardous elements and exhibits stable viscosity over a wide temperature spectrum. SintoGrind TC-X 630 offers the perfect balance between performance and price for grinders looking for more than a hydrocrack, but not requiring a fully synthetic polyalphaolefin.
